Frequently asked questions

What is a Escape Room?

An Escape Room is a game that consists of achieving an objective (usually leaving a room) by following clues and deciphering puzzles. Each mystery you solve leads you in turn to another riddle and this one to another… so on until you manage to solve them all and achieve the objective. It may also happen that a clue gives rise to several unknowns whose solution is (…or not!) related. In short, it is a complex game in which you have to use logic, skill and forms of lateral thinking in addition to teamwork.

Normally there is a maximum time to solve the entire game.

What happens if I can’t solve any of the puzzles?

Nothing. There is no reason to get overwhelmed (more than necessary hehehe). If you have already tried everything you can think of and you can’t move forward, you can ask us for help with that specific enigma and we will give you some clue or advice that will help you decipher it and move on.

Can I use my phone?

Yes, you can. Although in the classic Escape Rooms it is normal that you have to leave your cell phones outside the room before starting to play, in this Escape City you can (and should!) bring your cell phones. Honestly, the internet is not going to be of much help to you in solving the puzzles and following the clues; but it can help you orient yourself around the city or perhaps find some information that you think is necessary.

What is essential is that you bring at least one mobile phone per group (with Whatsapp/Telegram and enough battery) to communicate with us if you need clues.

Is it necessary to know the city beforehand?

No, it’s not. It is true that knowing Granada can help you move around the city faster, perhaps even solve a mystery; but it is not necessary to know the city or its history to be able to solve the game. In fact, Escape City Granada is wonderful as your first contact with the city because you will tour some of its most emblematic streets and places.

And if I live in Granada, is it worth it for me to sign up for the game?

Of course! As a resident of Granada you will enjoy it even more because the games are set in Granada. Especially the game “The Key to Granada” revolves around the history of the city. It is a perfect way to connect even more with the place where you live and with its past…

Which physical abilities are necessary…?

Although the physical difficulty of the games is moderately low, it is necessary to be able to move around without assistance.

You can consult us for more specific information about the physical difficulty of each of the games.

What happens if it rains?

Depends.

The game takes place outdoors, so if it rains… you are going to get wet.

If the rain is not very intense, the game could be played without major problems; but with heavy rain the most sensible thing would be to postpone the game or reschedule it. In any case, it is something that should be evaluated at the moment taking into account the circumstances and the forecast for the following hours.

Of course, if the game could not be played, no charge would be made.

What ages is it designed for?

Although players of any age can participate, it is true that young children probably will not fully understand the dynamics of the game. That is why we do not include children under 12 years of age in the player count and they participate for free.

Still, who knows!? Perhaps the little ones will be the first to find the solution to some of the riddles thanks to their imagination, logic and creative way of thinking…!
